with the new restrictions, we will have to move the time to 18.15 to
allow the previous course to finish and to open the windows before our
class. So we will start at <strong>18.15</strong> and finish at <strong>19.30</strong>.<br />
Secondly, I ask <u>everyone to <strong>book</strong></u> your spot, write an email the day before the class at least and <u>cancel if you cannot come</u>.<br />
<u>Update me</u> if you get a positive covid test the days after the class so I can email everyone else that was at the class with you.<br />
Further, we can only have <strong>6 people</strong> in the room, so 5
participants plus me. It feels very little group but cozy anyway. So
extra important that you book or cancel your place to give the
possibility to others who want to come but could not book it on time.<br />
Last but not least, remember that the class survives on donations so
please take with you an exchange if you want to keep practicing
together.<br />

I guess is obvious by now, but I repeat, stay home if you feel sick and wash your hands. ;-)<br />
<br />
Those times make me think so much of interbeing and interdependence. Of this thread that connects us all, humans and non-humans.<br />

We will have the last class of the year on Sunday 22nd of December!<br />
After that will come the schedule for 2020.<br />
The first class will be on Sunday 19th of January same time, same place.<br />

Next Sunday for the last class we will have a little longer time after the Asana/movent practice, so we can sit in meditation for 15/20 minutes. Class ends then 19.30.<br />
It will be a special time to gather around this holiday season, sometimes full of joy , sometimes full of anxiety. To both celebrate and get challenged. I am sure you know what I am talking about..<br />

To begin anew is to look deeply and honestly at ourselves, our past actions, speech and thoughts and to create a fresh beginning within ourselves and in our relationships with others. At the practice center we practice Beginning Anew as a community every two weeks and individually as often as we like.</div>

We practice Beginning Anew to clear our mind and keep our practice fresh. When a difficulty arises in our relationships with fellow practitioners and one of us feels resentment or hurt, we know it is time to Begin Anew. The following is a description of the four-part process of Beginning Anew as used in a formal setting. One person speaks at a time and is not interrupted during his or her turn. The other practitioners practice deep listening and following their breath.</div>

This is an opportunity to shine light on the other’s strengths and contributions to the sangha and to encourage the growth of his or her positive qualities.<br />Sharing regrets – We may mention any unskillfulness in our actions, speech or thoughts that we have not yet had an opportunity to apologize for.<br />Expressing a hurt – We may share how we felt hurt by an interaction with another practitioner, due to his or her actions, speech or thoughts. (To express a hurt we should first water the other person’s flower by sharing two positive qualities that we have trully observed in him or her. Expressing a hurt is often performed one on one with another practitioner rather than in the group setting. You may ask for a third party that you both trust and respect to be present, if desired.)<br />Sharing a long-term difficulty & asking for support- At times we each have difficulties and pain arise from our past that surface in the present. When we share an issue that we are dealing with we can let the people around us understand us better and offer the support that we really need.</div>

The practice of Beginning Anew helps us develop our kind speech and compassionate listening. Begin Anew is a practice of recognition and appreciation of the positive elements within our Sangha. For instance, we may notice that our roommate is generous in sharing her insights, and another friend is caring towards plants.</div>

As in a garden, when we “water the flowers” of loving kindness and compassion in each other, we also take energy away from the weeds of anger, jealousy and misperception.</div>

we feel very grateful for another year together and for the possibility of opening important discussion with you all on the Community Sundays.<br />

Just a reminder and a short description of the choice of the theme and the donations.<br />
<br />
So the Community Sundays will take place every last sunday of the month, please check the older post to see the dates.<br />
<br />
Every Community Sunday will have 30 minutes yoga/movement practice, 30 minutes meditation/mindfulness-zen oriented, 30 minutes discussion on a theme based.<br />
<br />
The themes for this year are taken from the book : Yoga for a world out of balance, teachings on ethics and social actions. Written by Michael Stone. more info here : http://www.shambhala.com/yoga-for-a-world-out-of-balance.html<br />
<br />
Because this great teacher and friend of ours has recently passed, we will also make the donations for the upcoming year of Community Sundays, to his young family, to support their life and honour his work.<br />
You can check out Michael´s work as a teacher and activist here: https://michaelstoneteaching.com, you will find it written and some videos but we warmly recommend his great podcasts. Everything for free in the community library.<br />
He has been very generous and inspirational for us personally and professionally.<br />
We hope you will enjoy it too.<br />
